Xin Yang is an artist based in Huaihua, China, and Chicago, USA, whose practice explores life sciences, urban systems, non-human interactions, and emerging technologies. Her work investigates overlooked yet vital micro-processes and interrelations, tracing how boundaries between human and non-human, local and global, nature and technology blur and reshape one another. Through audiovisual media, sculpture, painting, and installation, she visualizes the dynamics and tensions embedded in these complex, interconnected systems.

The residency is supported by the Department of Contemporary Culture – Deputy Ministry of Culture in Cyprus, as part of WIP LAB 2025 organized by CYENS Centre of Excellence.
