Biography

George Dimoglou has graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece with an Integrated Master’s degree in Film Studies (2019) and a Master’s (MA) in Film and Television Studies (2021). His interest in audiovisual media and theoretical research developed during his undergraduate studies and led to a thesis which tackled the issue of adapting videogames to film. He presented his research on Interactive Films at the 6th Narrative, Media, and Cognition Conference in October 2021.

Along with his studies, he has also worked as an office worker at the National Library of Greece – Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (2021) and a film journalist at Exostis (2019-2020), the first free magazine in Greece. Finally, as a director and editor of short films and videoart, he has taken part in various art festivals and exhibitions, such as at the 14th Audiovisual Arts Festival of the Ionian University, the Museum of Modern Art of Thessaloniki and the Bibart Biennale Internazionale d’Arte di Bari, Italy.
