A fruitful collaboration was realised between Thinker Maker Space (TMS) and the Larnaca Biennale (LB). Within this framework, TMS delivered an intensive test-before-invest prototyping workflow under the funding programme DiGiNN, offering expert consultation on contemporary exhibition-design practices enabled via digital design and fabrication. Together, the LB team and TMS identified spatial, signage, and visitor-navigation needs across the Biennale’s venues.
The TMS team then provided targeted training and hands-on guidance, leading to the development of a suite of exhibition design components and templates offering adaptable, coherent tools aligned with the Biennale’s identity.
A complete set of blueprints for these assets was subsequently prototyped through digital-fabrication processes, allowing the Biennale to evaluate materials, scale, legibility, and usability before committing to full production. This iterative, co-creative workflow—spanning mentoring, design refinement, blueprint development, and prototyping—prioritized practical exposure to digital tools and digital-fabrication methods.
